License a Wildlife Photograph
Every photograph on this site is original, shot by us in South Carolina, and available to license for editorial, commercial, educational, print and digital use. There is no stock library in between — you deal with the people who took the picture.

What you can license
Anything you can see on this site, plus a good deal you cannot. What is published here is a selection; most outings produce frames that never make the gallery, and those are licensable too.
- Species photographs — 19 species documented firsthand, from barred owls and anhingas to ospreys and armadillos
- Field journal imagery — sequences from a single outing, in order, with the conditions recorded
- The full gallery — the frames we consider our strongest
- Original video footage — 4K wildlife clips with field-recorded sound
If you need something specific that we have not published, ask. We may already have it.
What we need to know to quote you
Licensing price depends almost entirely on use, so a quote is quick if you tell us these five things up front:
1. Which image — a link or the file name is enough 2. Where it will appear — publication, website, book, broadcast, packaging, exhibition 3. How long — one-off, a fixed term, or perpetual 4. Territory — one country, or worldwide 5. Print run or audience size, if it is print or broadcast
Editorial use in a small publication and a national ad campaign are not the same license, and we would rather quote you honestly than publish a rate card that fits neither.
Typical uses
- Editorial — magazines, newspapers, online articles, conservation reporting
- Educational — textbooks, courses, museum and interpretive panels, school material
- Commercial — advertising, packaging, corporate and brand work
- Print and décor — hospitality, office, healthcare and residential installations
- Broadcast and film — documentary and factual programming

How it works
1. You send the image and the usage details. 2. We confirm availability and quote a fee and license term in writing. 3. On agreement, you receive the full-resolution file and a written license naming exactly what is permitted.
You get the original file. No watermark, no downsampling, no platform in between.
Credit
Editorial licenses are normally granted on the basis that the photograph is credited to Apex Exposure Media. Commercial licenses can be issued without a credit line where the use requires it — say so when you ask.
What is not permitted without a license
This part is simple, and it is the reason the rest of the page can be friendly.
Displaying an image on this website, in Google Images, on social media, or in a search result does not place it in the public domain and does not grant permission to reuse it. Unless otherwise identified, photographs on ApexExposureMedia.com were created by Apex Exposure Media and are protected by United States and international copyright law — covering the composition, timing, creative decisions, processing and published file.
Without prior written authorization, no photograph may be copied, downloaded, reproduced, altered, distributed, republished, sold, sublicensed, incorporated into another work, or used to train a commercial system, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
If you are unsure whether your use needs a license, ask first. It is a short conversation and considerably cheaper than the alternative.
